Well, summer is here, and its time for work they say!

Some intro pictures to the fiero... (Used to be Dusty's car)

Now the fun stuff.

Sanding down the body panels.  As you can see in the pictures, this car used to be several different colours!  Pink/Purple being one of them.  Some of the panels have some pretty bad dings in them, so filler is going to have to be used.  To start off, I am just going to start with 120Grit, then slowly work my way up to something around 1500 or so, because I want to have a nice clear coat on it after.  I probably will not be painting it myself, I just want to do the prep work.  Not that you can see in any of the pictures yet, I have a room built behind the car, which is a sealed off part of the garage for sanding/painting so that it doesn't get all over the place Smiley

Bad chip here :S

Steps to complete:

1.  Sand Body and Prep for painting
2.  Figure out exactly what 'mods' to body have to be completed before paint
3.  Install mods
4.  Paint
5.  Overhaul Dash/Interior
6.  Install Spare Deck
7.  Create Custom Slimline PC for MP3/7" LCD Touch Screen/GPS
8.  Gut Engine Bay and clean/paint (Winter time/next spring)
9.  Install 3800 Motor with either Supercharger/Turbo
10. Drive

More to come later on down the road...

400 or even 360 is as fine as you want to go.  The new paint needs something to grab on to.  After the car is painted and cleared it is buffed.  Using 1500 you'll probably blast your paint job off at the car wash bay.

Update:  Here are some more photo's of whats happening.

This is the first coat of primer, then I had to sand it down because there was a lot of scratches.  So a couple more coats should do nicely.

The chip patched up nicely!

The Spoiler I picked up on saturday!  Sanded it down, and primed it up.

So, I was under the impression that the truck lid, had holes in it for a stock Spoiler, well I guessed wrong.  Turns out that the holes are WAY off!

Next on the choping block is fixing the trunk lid for the holes, THEN time for the bumpers and trying to get the side panels off.  So far it seems to be very awkward.

I think the mounting holes are slightly different on the wingstands between coupe and GT.  Shouldn't be too hard to sort out.

Here is the mess so far!  lol, I haven't really even started! Sad  The body panels are giving me some trouble trying to get them off.  But I haven't made it that far yet.

this is what I gotta have!!!

Deffinatly want to go the 3800 route with a Turbo.  I like turbo's instead of superchargers.  I just like the noise better!  lol.
