Got vacuum. Want boost.

« on: September 02, 2003, 10:55:10 am »

...when I get one of those "where's the engine" looks from people.

Stopped at a gas station on Saturday to top up a slow leak and decided to pump up my spare tire while I was at it.

Out come two young guys from Timmie's just as I pull the hood up and reach in with the air line.  They stopped dead in their tracks about 10 feet away, staring at the front of the car.

They were too shy to say anything to me, and I couldn't understand what they were saying to each other (quietly talking in an oriental dialect), but from the looks & the hand waving I think they were pretty much floored by the fact that the engine wasn't where they expected.

Sometimes it's the simple things that make your day.   Smiley

The firt time I saw AKA's fiero I thought there was somethign wrong with it!

I looked hard at the front and I'm thinking....."something is missing......but what"?

THE ENGINE! WTF?

Then I figured out it was an MR and it all made sence. I like the way the rad is piped to the front! I would have just made some scoops and piped the air in the back but I guess they had cooling problems!

Wow Boot, you're lucky.  I guess everyone's taking the "tone it down" requests rather seriously--at any other time someone would have jumped all over you by now for equating a Fiero to an MR-2.   Grin

...or did you mean something else by "MR"?

What about the looks from the people that notice that there is no engine at all?  “WTF are you doing to your otherwise perfectly good car?”  “Are you stupid or something?  No one really cares.”  I do!

Your only limitations are set from within, by a lack of vision.  But to have vision alone leaves the process idle.  Ergo, without action your thoughts are worthless.

OMG! Shocked

That engine bay is SOOOOO nice. Its so simple and there is so much space!

Stupid Honda making their engines so packed together. Its built for small Japanese men with little wrists and long arms!  Grin
