I'm new on the site, I've owned my 85GT since new and was wondering if the club ever meets for any get togethers or car meets/runs in Ottawa.  My car has an original 37,123 km's on it and I just got back from "the fiero factory" with it after having a 4.9L swap done.  I haven't driven it yet and was wondering what most people are using as far as a 15" tire in size.  Way back when...I was using a 245/50ZR15 on the rear and 225/50ZR15 on the front.....they are no longer available though.....any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and I'd like to stay with 15" rims for now...thanks

There's a meet coming up this Saturday in East Hawkesbury.  Check the Events section or the banner on the home screen for more info.

Got any photos of your old tire set-up?  I find the extra compression required when installing a +10mm over-width tire to be plenty of fun, especially with harder compound tires.  A 245mm tire on the Fiero wheels must have had quite the roll-in from the tread down to the bead!

Hey,

That's funny....but lets keep in mind my 85 GT came with factory 14" stock rims....My 15's are BBS and are 8" in width....perhaps I should have mentioned that....lol.

Ha... sorry... gotta watch the post dates.  I wrote that back when the September GTG was just around the corner.  October's BBQ - which is next weekend - is at our place near Carleton Place.
