Okay, so I bought this Fiero.  Last insurance slip ran out in the fall of 98 and has been garaged since then.  Big garage....like Don's...and Kevin's ...and Nick's  (sigh  Cry )

Anyway, guess what it smells like?  Not as bad as a famous club car that Dan inherited, but then again, it hasn't gotten wet yet.

Anyone found a product to counteract the lovely smell of mouse heaven?  I suspect the carpets and seats may be trashed, but I'd like to rescue the dash and door cards.

On the good side it was cheap, although I still need to drag it home somehow.

It's just an 86 coupe, dead4/auto.  The frame looks good, some trunk rust, but no holes.  Things like the coolant clips and some brake lines are rusty. Due to whatever metal was used, I guess.  Even if I just nab the body panels (black) which are quite nice, and some other bits, it should be worth it.

If you go to the grocery store today while you are driving Mrs. Buzz around go in and look for a round plastic de-odourizer they come in two scents and work very well and go for five dollars. My Jetta was parked for six months last year and that thing smelled like something had died in it, I put one of those thingies in it and it worked.
Sound like  a good score, I'll have to swing by to have a look. Kevin

Am I that predictable?   Roll Eyes

I take it you mean those plastic tubs that you undo the top and it supposedly, treats the air to a new-age rebirth?  Plan on those as well  Afro

Hey buzz if that stuff works then it is no where near as bad as the one that got dumped here. With that one you could smell the rat crapmany feet away and I found there was no way to get the smell out so the carpets got tossed.
If you want I can drop by next Saturday and we can use my van to tow the car to your place by either borrowing or renting a tow dolly. Dan

Everybody sing!   S T I, N K Y, M O U S E!   Cheesy

Those odor-killing plastic pot things do work nicely Gary.  We've used them in and around cat litter boxes with success, stinky sump pump pits, etc.

If you come up this way Dan, could bring that clutch along please?  I can meet you at Gary's and help harass him...
