Just wanted to say, Hello to everyone out there. Im from Belleville, Ontario. Ive got a '84 SE 4-speed, but Im looking for a GT as we speak. I was planning on doing a 4.9 swap into my '84 but If I pick up the GT then I wont be doing that for a while.

Ive got a couple of things that Im trying to get rid of in the Parts section, and soon I may have a whole '84 to part out. Its got a great interior(for all those looking for odds and ends)

Thanks, I hope I can be of help since Ive been around Pennocks for a while and Im im the process of becoming a Auto Tech.

Welcome Rob!
Be sure to let us know if you get up this way.
What are Bubba's mounts worth?

Dan, I have a couple of non-sunroof boards.  They need recovering but are in good shape.  These things are really fragile though, I don't think they would survive shipping.  You're welcome to one if you ever come this way.

Like I said I'm not far away so if you have a question I'll try or if you need help just ask. The local wreckers here has a 93 4.9 if you need one or any other parts. I frequently visit the local wrecking yards searching for parts. Mine right now is an 84 with a 95 3100SFI 5speed. My next project I'm working on is an 85 SE that I'm installing a 98 3800SC with a 4T65E tranny should be done late spring or early summer depending on weather. I also have a 22P manual and an 84 service manual and a 91 Mitchells manual that has the 4.9 ECM info.

Actualy I have all the wiring manuals I could dream of, since I have access to Michell on Demand. So if anyone needs some diagrams, I could probley supply then.

Later; Rob

PS: whats the wreckers called thats got the '93 4.9?

It called Peterborough auto wreckers, their pretty good to deal with and I trust them. One of few wreckers I would buy an engine from. Thats where my 3100 SFI came from. Their phone number is area code 705 745-3212. They had a couple of 4.9's last time I checked and wanted about $750 each. This usually includes the wiring harness and ECM if you push them a bit. They also have the 3800SC I'm looking at buying as well as lots of other engines. Only one Fiero left it was an 85 coupe only body left now. Other wreckers in area have more but mostly 84 coupes. If you decide to come to Peterborough I can show you around if you like. If coming would reccomend stopping at Browns in Hastings he has lots of Fiero's almost complete. Is there much that you know of in the way of wreckers in your area, Ilike travelling to different wreckers. If you are ever near kingston they have some good ones north of the 401 on McAdoos lane or something like that.

hi, guys; I am new too; following some of the info here and want to put in two cents worth regarding wreckers - I was TRYING to deal with the European Auto guys on MacAdoos Lane just north of Kingston on a few parts.  They quoted me a price on a part (non-fiero) of $75, then a second guy confirmed it at that price.   I was personally in their shop talking to them face to face.  I told them I would be back in a wk or two to get it (it was winter so they are slow to take parts off).......
When I called back to say I was coming the price was suddenly 'about' $250!!!  Promises don't matter I guess.  Finally they said they were not going to take any parts off that engine and wanted to keep it complete.  So yet another line from these jokers.  I would be extremely cautious in any dealings with them; They also go under the name of Mulrooney Metal Works.  I expect they would change their mind by the time you show up at the office after removing a part YOURSELF!!!!
....my rant.
Too bad there are people who deal like that but........ at least we know.

Yea those European auto guys suck but there are some other wreckers on that road that are pretty good to deal with and have the parts. Mind you I have only been there three times but had no problems each time. Went there during appointments with specialist's at Kingston General so it wasn't a wasted trip if you are already there. Nice replica a friend of mine here has one as well that were going to up grade from a 4 to a 6 when ever we get around to it.
