Picked up from another forum...

Calabogie MotorSports is looking for responsible, hard working, and energetic individuals to join our team.  A final training session will take place on Thursday, September 21st for those interested in becoming corner marshals (flagging, communications, and safety workers) at the new Calabogie MotorSports Park.  Marshalling is a great way to experience the action up close, and is critical to the safe operation of the facility.

Where:    Calabogie Peaks Hotel, Madawaska Room
When :    Thursday, September 21st, 2006
                        Sign-in at 5:30pm
                        Training commences at 6:00pm (sharp) - 9:30pm

Registration:  Individuals interested in attending the training session must pre-register by 12:00 noon on Thursday, September 21st, 2006 by email to marshalling@calabogiemotorsports.com, or by phone at 613.752.1252.  Marshalling is open to all those 18 years of age and older.

Individuals that successfully complete the training will be eligible for employment as marshals at the track.  There is no charge for the training.  We look forward to see you there.

Well I was there... it was rather interesting.  About 40 someodd people there, mostly men.

Met two of the partners.

I get to see the track on Sunday Smiley so that'll be nice.  Can't wait till I get out there and start seeing the cars/motorcycles going around  Grin

And you know, the 511 and Tadlock road are a little creapy driving on at 10:30 at night.  It's pitch black, and every other turn/hill you think you're about to drive off a cliff... definitely had no problem staying awake coming home from the course  Cheesy

yummy yummy yummy!!!

That track is beautiful...  the only flat thing on that track is the parking areas.  They took us on a little tour around the track, on a trailer pulled by a pickup truck.  It is definitely going to be a challenging track.  Got to watch a couple of the owners/investors run around the track in their own cars... yummy... it's going to be fun being that close to the cars as they run around the track!!  Grin

It wont be open to the public this year, still more construction and landscaping to be done... the track itself is done and there's a big fence around the whole property...

I'll be there this weekend, I'll bring the camera and try to get some pictures if I can.

Your only limitations are set from within, by a lack of vision.  But to have vision alone leaves the process idle.  Ergo, without action your thoughts are worthless.
