If anyone has a spare computer that their willing to sell I would really appreciate it.  My car is my daily driver so I'm stuck here until I replace the computer....  If anyone knows a good place to buy a used one in case noone has one I'm open to suggestions....

Thanks,
Joe

I have a few Fiero computers mostly 4cyl ones and one or two 6 cyl ones which I think were for auto cars. Dan

Dan,  I have a four cylinder so that would work great.  How much do you want for one?  and where abouts do you live?I'm at Alta Vista and Bank.  You can call me if you want 613-762-7132.

Here is where the problem is I am about three hours from Ottawa. I live south of Belleville but if you don't mind a road trip you are welcome to the computer. Dan

I may have an 84 4 cyl, 4 speed here, if that's what you need. I'll have a look in the morning.

Turns out I still need a computer because my weekend plans fell through.  I need one for a 4 cylinder auto.  Please PM me with the amount and a number where I can reach you if you can spare one.  I would like to get one in the city but I also have a friend coming down from Port Hope this weekend that could pick it up for me if needed.

Thanks again,
Joe

I know we have two 84 (4cyl) ECMs, one is definitely for a stick transaxle.  I'll have to dig the other one out and run its part number to determine whether it's auto or stick.

Not to mention verify whether there are any differences in the pinouts of the 84 ECM vs. the 85/6 4cyl versions.

Joe--

Both ECMs we have are for 84s with stick.  They'll work just find in your car, with the exception of the automagic tranny's TCC lockup.

You would need to disconnect the tan/black wire at pin 19 of the white ECM connector, otherwise the TCC would attempt to go in to lockup every time the ECM thought it was turning on the "shift" light.  A side effect of this is that you'll get slightly poorer gas mileage on the highway.

$10 if you want one; we're just outside of Carleton Place if you'd like to pick-up.  Either myself or Kitten will be in Bells Corners on Friday or Saturday if meeting there would be easier.
