I don't normally buy the paper... but after reading this I ran down to the shop downstairs and snagged they're last copy of todays Ottawa Sun... it's not very often our little beasts get they're own page in the paper Smiley at least not without being involved in some sort of rather nasty accident...

Knowing the Sun's journalistic style though, does it say anything complimentary or is it their usual inciteful blather?   Huh

To answer my own question...  Smiley  not bad, not bad at all.

They used what appears to be an old promo photo of an 85 GT, surrounded by a general-but-accurate history of the car.  Wish I had known that such an article was going to be published--would have made a good opportunity to try to get a plug in for the club.  Smiley

Stop buying the SUN!  That'll learn them for not talking to us first. jk

Looks like an okay article.  I think it's probably from somewhere else in the chain and just used locally.

Maybe there is a way, there are a few errors we could correct them on....

I picked this up and for anyone who wants to see it, I'll scan it in and put on the site.  I have a few other magazines I need to get on there at the same time.  Chances are this will only be next week.  I'll let you know when its up. Afro

Please scan it in, as I can't get a hard copy. Too many Fiero fans buying up the last copies as a collectable, I guess  Roll Eyes

Two errors jumped out at me...
  • The Duke was described as a 2.4L engine.
  • Can't remember the exact wording, but it mentioned 13 "bolt-on" body panels.  Front bumper + hood + two front fenders + two doors + roof + rear clip + two rear quarter panels + decklid + rear bumper = 12.  P'raps they counted the wing as a body panel?   Huh

Anyone else find others?

Hi,

Would it be possible to scan the document for the Montreal Fiero Club? We would like to include it in our history section in our web site.

Thanks for your help.

Eric

For anyone who remembers it, we should have a scan of this relatively soon.

While sorting out a stack of paper which one of the cats was kind enough to throw on the floor, I found the copy of the article which I had saved.  Strangely enough, it was on the floor in front of our scanner.   Grin

Try this...  if the text is too small let me know and I'll upload a copy of it at a different resolution.
