Anybody got or know anyone with a wide track suspsension?? I've got a 355 body on a fiero and am wanting to eliminate my spacers. And I'd like to avoid the huge prices Helds charges... I know they're good, but I'd rather not pay more than the rest of the cars worth..  blutes@storm.ca

Yep, Graeme has been great to talk to... I've learned a sh*t load. I'm looking around, but think I've got a pretty good idea what I'm gonna do. Keeping the coilovers on the back and lowering springs on the front and gonna probably get somebody to fab up new control arms.
Not sure about the tie rods and axles yet. I hear V8 Archie may be able to help with the axles and Helds or the Fiero shop in TO has those tie rod adapter sleaves they sell with their widetrack kits. Hope I can buy them seperately, though I can't imagine it being a huge hurdle to leap..... brian.

oh yeah
Thanks, Dan; but I always get nervous about being called an expert in anything LOL.  Roll Eyes

Nice comment, but I just know a BIT about what I am doing; that is all.  As with most things I touch; I simply try to find out WHERE to go for answers!!  And I think I have that stuff.  LOTS of books by people who know what they are talking about, or else people who have built AND tested.  I don't go with a lot of the chatter you see on the boards; a LOT of people just say anything that pops into their head; and if they sound authoritative enough most people will take their word as gospel!!  Oh well; one of the hazards.

what are YOU working on?
Gotta get that digi camera working again!!  Lost most of my pix it seems....

I almost hate to admit it but right now I am working on installing a low mileage 2002 Bonneville SSEi 3800SC engine and tranny into a now don't laugh too hard its not mine I am doing it for a customer but its going into a 1989 Pontiac 6000, you know 4 door bench seat column shifter. Not a mint or special one just a plain 6000. Will probably be the fastest 6000 around but I still wouldn't want it when its done, something about pride or self respect I think. Makes me miss working on my Fiero. Dan

Have you considered using a newer GTP craddle something I have been thinking about for engine swap cars. There is a link from a discussion on Pennock's to some guy in the kitcar that has done it on a 355 replica. Might be worth checking into. Dan
