Dan,

You just had to tempt me just a bit more didn't you Undecided

Haven't been able to get a good night sleep since I've seen YOUR MASTERPIECE on Saturday... VROOOMMMM VROOOMMMM, I like the sound of that engine so much that it is keeping me awake at night, and day dreaming all day Wink

Obviously, the "slight" performance boost offered by that engine also accounts for some of that day dreaming Grin Grin Grin

Ottawa - Toronto in 2 hours has always been a personal goal of mine Wink

With cars that have that level of performance, I've always wondered how other people could survive more that 24hours without loosing their driver's license.

Darn, if the wallet could follow the temptation, I’d purchase that engine in no time Cry

By no means am I trying to tempt any one besides just how much actual noticeable difference could there be between the 2.8 and the 3800SC. Not to mention the large increase in fuel mileage when using the 4 speed auto tranny. Makes me wonder why I ever changed over to the 3800SC in the first place. Dan

I would have a hard time driving the 140 hp's now that 250 plus (soon to be 350+) is available in the same frame.

Two points here 1) I have driven your yellow beast and I think a duke would give that bumblee a run for its money. HEE HEE
                           2) Nitrous is not a good idea, if you want to kill your self that bad find a safer way for every one else around you. Dan

Hey come on Brian this is no fun if you do not respond with some kind of smart remark. At he least argue about the power of your car or deny it looks like a bumble bee. Dan

If doing a V8 swap I would definetely reccomend using the newer lighter corvette engines. Keeping them fully fuel injected and bolting up to a 4T65E HD tranny from a 3800SC car. May be a bit of a wiring nightmare but well worth it in the long run.
If only using a carbed or older V8 better off going 3800SC. Then there is always the 502 chevy big block that can be used if you have enough money to do right, something like over 500 hp available there. Dan

AHHHH If I only had a garage and was retired.
You can get a 350 with twin turbo's?
Probably an issue of space in the fiero.

If you're going to go that far you might as well get an Ultima GTR.

Well to break away from my comfortable, sunny view of the Atlantic Ocean for a moment, if you have the chance Dan can you please find out what the yard would want for the motor & engine compartment-side wiring harness?

I don't need any of the other "usual" electronic baggage.  Doing the aftermarket PCM thing...

Checked with Hothc's they have two 3800SC engines one out of a 1999 Buick Park Avenue Ultra with 87,000km on it and the other out of the 2002 Bonneville SSEI with 52,000km on it. Price same for both I can have pick of which one I want. Engine with tensioners and pulleys still on and wiring harness is $2,500 + taxes. They probably wont last long if you are interested let me know and I can put you in contact with them. Dan
