are all 88 tranny's Getrags?

or can some be Isuzu's?  I guess I should ask the same thing about 87's - I found an 87 5 spd and I think it CAN be either one, (so I'll check) but what about the 88's?  It is on a 4 cylinder car and I am just wondering if it MIGHT be an Isuzu.

Anyone know for sure?

Only the V6's received Getrags halfway through the 86 season till the end of 88. All the 4cyl's 85> on, came with Isuzus.

so what would be on an 88 with a 4 cyl?  Would it be a Getrag for sure or might it still be an Isuzu?  I am just after the shifter and apparently they are different for the 2 types of trannys

Sandy is correct 86 and a half up V6 cars with standard tranny's got Getrags all 4cyl cars 85 up got Isuzu's. All 84's got muncie 4 speeds of varying ratios. 85 and early 86 V6 cars got muncie 4 speeds. Dan

eventually I catch on.  Maybe I was hoping that I had found something that would actually HELP with what I am doing.

so I found a couple of Isuzus is looks like.

WELL if anyone knows of a Getrag 5 spd car - all I am after is the shifter.  Maybe the cables but chances are they won't be the right ones.  (Murphy strikes again...)
