Bored?

Just reading thru...I can't believe I even read all that.
84 only year for 3:32 econo 4 speed

86 GT's have round trim
5 speed tranny available on late 86 GT's
SE has PONTIAC 'engraved' in rear fascia.

I think 87 coupes have ribbed trim still.

My car is a very early 86 GT.  On Pennock's there was a thread listing about 50 VIN and mine was the lowest fastback.  Of course, it's no longer a fastback so who cares.  Grin

I didn't see this mentioned...  as far as I know it's correct, but surely someone will pipe up if they think otherwise.  Smiley

1984 was the only year where all three red tail lights on each side were combination brake/turn signal/parking lights.  For 1985 and up, only the outer two bulbs were combination units, with the inner red bulb being parking lights only.

1988 had an overhaul on the braking system, new stlye of calipers where used.
Oil pump drive was driven off the crankshaft and I think the oil filter slides in a spot inside the oilpan. (chiltons)  Only year for factory T-tops (CJB)

I thought rounded trim didn't come into effect till the 87GT models.

Don Guy: you are correct about the 84 tail lights.

1984, 4 models  Coupe ; Sport Coupe ; SE ; Indy Pace car

1985, only year the ECM has the internal programming for a turbo.
