Title: 96 Olds LSS 3800SC Post by: 2ML67 on March 08, 2006, 06:40:03 pm Found another 3800SC at the wreckers it is still in the car and runs nice. Not sure of the milage but it is probably high, but taking into consideration he only wants $500 it may be a good deal. Dan

Title: Re: 96 Olds LSS 3800SC Post by: 2ML67 on March 09, 2006, 10:25:06 am No its definetely series II but has the 4T60E tranny bolted to it. 96's were the oddball year cars. Yes Rob I was thinking the same thing would make for a nice engine to do a supoer build on instead of taking apart the nice 2003 engine I have in my Fiero know. If you want to see it it is at Harrison's down near Wapoose or however yopu spell it. Dan

The angle on my right says "you didn't read that", but the devil on the left's voice is louder. ;) Any idea whether or not that wrecker would be friendly to leaving the transmission behind, but surrender the engine-side harness instead? Title: Re: 96 Olds LSS 3800SC Post by: dguy on March 12, 2006, 07:16:13 am Took a look at it yesterday, and I dare say that's one of the cleanest, quietest 300,000+ km cars I've ever seen.
...and its engine now has a new owner, and will have a new home early next week. Thanks for all your help, Dan! O0 Title: Re: 96 Olds LSS 3800SC Post by: FieroBUZZ on March 12, 2006, 01:56:02 pm Nice one guys! O0

Should have the engine home tomorrow and tucked away nice and safe for you. Did you want any thing done with the harness while it is here. Dan

Nick I was already asking him about the tranny as I was thinking of getting it but I still have the 4T60E out of my van laying around so I really do not need another. I didn't actually get a price but can ask him if you like. Dan

If you can stand having some german engineering in your driveway again, we should be able to bring my new toy home then.
