hi Eric
I have one I got at Princess Auto last yr; it is a siphon feed bucket type; if you hung it up from the rafters it works .......ok........ with gravity helping and dry sand and patience it works as good as any siphon type I guess.  Dry sand is pretty important!
I am going to make a pressurized one .... when I get around to it.......
which is after mid april sometime.  The pressurized ones are best but they are pricey unless you can rent them at a reasonable rate.  I have an old dishwasher cabinet I am going to use as a sandblasting cabinet; just put a plexiglass door on it and I will be in business for smaller stuff.
You are welcome to use it if you don't have a better offer.  I won't be needing it for awhile.  I am out Barrhaven way.

Eric, I don't have one.  Helpful, eh?

I used a wire brush on a drill to clean mine up and then shot a light coat of 'cast aluminum' colour engine paint.  You could clear coat as well I guess. Looked nice at the time but one trip on my road and everything looks like crap anyway.

For anyone doing this, Carleton Auto Parts in Carleton Place, evidently has a self serve bead blast cabinet.  I haven't used the service and don't know the rates, but if you have some small parts to do it may be just the thing.
