Just an FYI for those interested in buying new tires, I bought mine at http://1010tires.com

Based on a local price comparison and availability, when shipping was factored in, there was a cost savings to be had by ordering them for the above company.

Cheers, Derek

How does Canada Customs factor in to eBay'd tires though?   Huh

Most of the tire "sales" that I've looked at on eBay are USA-based & done by people who (nearly exclusively) use FedEx, UPS, and other couriers.  UPS in particular has a nasty ol' sliding scale which they use to determine their brokerage fees.   Sad

I imagine that you have to shop very carefully.  Once you start adding currency exchange, taxes, duty, and brokerage fees it won't take long to eat up any potential savings.   Undecided

1010tires and tiretrends are both Canadian.  I believe Tyler got his wheel/tire package thru tiretrends.

Yep yep, but most of the tire "deals" on eBay (like the ones Stephane posted), are US-based.  Smiley

For some reason half my post disappeared.  I also added that they were retail outlets who dealt in mail/internet sales and had excellent reputations AFAIK.

Those dealing e-bay may wish to send their purchase via UPS to the Ogdensburg UPS Store and have them mounted prior to returning to Canada.  You are to declare the purchase and pay duty as required at the border  Wink  It seems pretty easy and no Canada Post employee needs to touch it.
