Hey
This is the first time I have signed up for a car forum. First, I'm a mere 16, but working as a mechanic apprentice at a Honda dealership. I LOVE the fiero. My daddy had one. AMAZING car.
Coolest thing IMO is that I can start off with a 4 banger version, wait a few years till insurance drops(new driver and all), then drop a 350 into it Cheesy

I look forward to making a few friends and learning new things!

First of all welcome to our little group.

We have some Honda guys too, so they'll probably be bothering you as well.  Grin

Feel free to come out and meet some of us this Saturday (see the events section), bring a buddy or your dad along and we'll get them hooked.

There are usually a few around for sale, so if and when you get serious, let us know and we'll shake the bushes.  I know at least  one member will have a new toy and be looking to sell his car.

Pick up a builder cheap and you can cross train.  You wouldn't believe how many mechanics refuse to even look at a Fiero.  The easiest thing to do is back it in the bay and tell him it's a Cavalier.

After working on Honda's for almost 6 months, I can say....I'll never own one  Not any of the new ones, anyways...

I'll be searchin one out later this year, prolly around springtime. All my money is currently being funneled into tools and biking(I do downhill and trials, for anyone who cares).

So I heard about the Fiero's incline to frighten mechanics Smiley I was wondering....are the V6 ones adjustable valve or hyrdaulic lifter?

Mine’s a custom too.  It’s a Kona Hei Hei (I think that’s the right spelling), from when they still made them (titanium). XT and XTR detailers, XT bottom bracket (broke one already because I like to get too much air), Rock Shock XC forks, rapid fire on the right and grip shift on the left (XT and XTR rapid fire shifters aren’t as good as the lower end, ie, LX and lower).  Ritchie offset rear rim.  I can’t even list it all.  Everything has been replaced at least once, either because it broke or I didn’t like it as much as something else.  For racing I use a custom adjustable seat that I designed.
