Unless bolts severely siezed always easier in the end to drop entire craddle to change a clutch.
Heck I will sell him a 3800SC powered car for $7,000 but he is heavily biased against auto tranny's and being a honda guy he also isn't use to power either. Dan

Looks like someone's V-Tech blew a gasket. Tongue

Relax man, were just playing with you.

Besides, we appreciate the "barn" but I don't think J-P can make it that for wants his car worked on in a barn...

J-P, I'll see if I can free-up a hoist at the shop for ya. Wink

I dont have V-Tec.....

and they dont blow headgaskets....rings though! A lot of V-Tec engines burn oil!

Also..I cant communicate with you guys because 80% want my honda ass gone and the other 19% make Honda cracks any time they can. 1% is chill ...my man AKA!

The barn is pretty ghetto but thats all I have so my friend...its yours if you need it! Its basically a concrete pad with an old empty barn over it....I turned it into a garage! There is a hoist and an engine stand and some tables with tools to do rebuilds on....there are no animals though...thats a little too ghetto!

You know I was merely repeating your earlier comment about auto trannys and having a little fun with you. Maybe before you blew your V tech gasket you should have thought about who you were dealing with. I was one of the people at the beginning stating that it doesn't matter what you drive it is how you drive.
I also mentioned that the god father of my twin daughters is a Honda lover and I do not hold it against him. We tease each other harmlessly all the time but I will tell you straight out there hot head if he ever responded like you did he would be nursing a fat lip.
So keep that in mind in the future we may just meet one day.
I can respect that you are helping your buddy out but in the future DICK HEAD learn to relax a little you may even find a way to be sociable out side of the honda world. Dan

Blowing a head gasket is caused by overheating. That's why when someone gets upset and blows up, we call it blowing a head gasket. Tongue  So it has nothing to do about if or if not the v-tec does blow gaskets. Wink  and if i told you you blew a piston ring.. well... Ewwww???

Back to Fiero Business
When you have the engine out, change the firewall side spark plugs. When you are at it, get some metric studs and bolts at CTC and change the bolts in the manifold gasket. Midas wanted over $400 to change those bolts. Its a half an hour job when the engine is out on the floor.

not sure about the Fiero but to take my flywheel (sorry, I know, I know) off you need a 12MM 12pt. socket! Make sure you have all special tools you need before you disable the car and cant get to Canadian Tire for back up! I have a set of 12PT sockets if you need them!
