Anyone knows if the 2000 Le Sabre engine & transmission is a good transplant for a Fiero ?

Spec published for this engine is:
3800 Series II V6 engine
3,791 cc 3.8 liters 6 V engine with 96.5 mm bore, 86.4 mm stroke, 9.4 compression ratio, overhead valve and two valves per cylinder
Multi-point injection fuel system
Power: SAE and 153 kW , 205 HP @ 5,200 rpm; 230 ft lb , 312 Nm @ 4,000 rpm

Engine Type              12-valve pushrod overhead valve 90-degree V6
Engine Size               3.8 liters / 231 cu. in.
Horsepower               205 @ 5200 rpm
Torque (lb-ft)            230 @ 4000 rpm
Transmission              4-speed  electronically-controlled automatic w/OD
Fuel Requirement        unleaded regular

When I get tired of this "Low Power" engine, will a Super Charger be a bolt on mod to this engine?  Evil Evil Evil

The 3800 N/A is a good engine with a very noticeable increase in power over the 2.8 Fiero V6. It is just as reliable if not more than the 3800SC and can also be used with a manual tranny or the auto that comes with it. One benefit over the SC is you can run the cheaper fuel where the 3800 SC needs the high octane all the time.
Converting it over to an SC version is more that just bolting on a SC, the entire top end including the heads need to be swapped for the upgrade. A better option for more power later on would be to bolt a turbo set up onto the engine. Dan
