Title: Replacement Seat Speakers
Post by: dguy on October 01, 2006, 07:49:06 pm
Here's the reason why I recently listed a set of OEM seat speakers over in Parts... (http://www.fierodrivers.com/forum/index.php?topic=2992.msg16294#new)   ;D

JL Audio TR350-CX or TR350-CXi

These are a direct-fit, 3½" speaker.  25W RMS, 4 ohms.  Frequency response 130Hz - 22KHz.

A nice step up from the OEM seat speakers.  Respectable low frequency response for their size, clean mid-range, crisp and accurate highs.   O0

The only problem is now we have to replace the dash speakers because even with NOS units in there, the JL's out-shine them by a long shot.   8)

Forgot to mention this a while back...   Using these speakers is going to put a 2 ohm load on each rear channel of your stereo, which is half of the load which most amplifiers expect.  Installing a 2 ohm resistor inline on each rear channel positive lead is probably a good idea.
