Title: F.S. 3.5L DOHC Shortstar engine.
Post by: Joe Fieroshop on January 10, 2005, 10:37:36 am
I have a 3.5L Shortstar engine that I'm selling. Origanally this motor was going to be installed into the car known as DEVLISH. Since then a change of plans and I came accross a 3800 N/A motor that will be Turbochagred and intercooled that will be going into it now.

This motor will come with some spair parts too, I don't have a starter or Alternator, sorry.

Just let me know if there are anyone is interested.

Thanks
Joe

I'm not sure how much people are UP on this engine, Joe; or maybe it is just me.

But perhaps you could plug in some info on it or a link?

I THINK it is a brand new engine; dohc; not even sure if it is a 60*V6 or not; all alum?  It will bolt up to ie a 282 etc?  Stock hp and torque figures?  Redline is what?  Sequential FI?  what years did it come in; does it come with ecm; wiring harness etc etc?
Any idea what is involved in chip reprogramming or if it is even possible?
I am sure that there is very little aftermarket stuff for it if it is quite new.  Mileage?

And I guess what you are asking for it......... :o

all would help I think.

these engines are essentialy a northstar engine with 2  cylinders loped off. would make a nice high reving engine, and installed they look like they belong! good luck on the sale

Rob is correct. this 3.5L is the smaller brother of the N*, it is a 90 deg. V6, it will mount to a 282 tranny, it's an all alluminum motor that has 4 cams. If I'm correct on my numbers, the HP out put is 215-220 HP. The engine has a harness but no ECM. I do have a way to wire this up without using the original Olds, PCM. I did some searching, some comparisson and found an easy ECM that can be wired up, and programmed to run this engine.

If anyone is serious you can send me an e-mail.

Joe
