I am putting a bunch of stuff up on ebay and thought I would see first if anyone locally wants or needs a starter or alternator for a 2.8. I am doing that engine swap and so don't need them, and they worked fine for me. I am asking $25 each and they would make exc spares I think. The starter in particular seems to be a trouble item so a spare may not be a bad idea. Let me know soonest!!! thanks. Tiberio and Tyler; could you send me an email when you get a chance? the starter is sold; but I am trying to determine if the alternator is from an A/C car ore not. (my 2.8 is a swap-in to replace a 4 cyl) If anyone knows how to tell or what to look for could you let me know pls? I could post a pic if that might tell the story. thx! :) Title: Re:'85 2.8 starter and alternator f/s Post by: fiero308 on August 20, 2003, 01:42:17 pm looks like it is a 63 Amp alternator; that would be the NON a/c unit I am sure; I think the A/C unit would be 110 or something considerably higher. I am also guessing a bit but see the pic and I believe that 63 is a standard output for them. The last few characters in the top line should tell the story.

and for 88 you get an 105 amp witch is the newer batch called the cs series with the newer style connector. marc the stroker. I have a bunch of misc other stuff available; rear coil 'cooling' fan and pipes/ducts; radiator; I guess I will have to go thru it all and list it properly. ;D gp |
