Title: Longer wheel studs?
Post by: can machine on April 03, 2011, 08:49:25 pm
Has anyone found longer wheel studs anywhere for brake upgrades? I went to Bensons and they could not find any. Not a surprise they can't even get stock Fiero brake rotors. I might try NAPA in Almonte or Crappy Tire.

Odd.  Were they looking up studs by application, or did you ask for a stud by length x diameter x thread pitch?  It wouldn't be the first time that counter staff has stopped thinking when the computer doesn't list it by year/make/model.

Ya I left a old one with him and told him I needed the exact stud but longer. And he found one about 2mm longer and the knurled part was too big in diameter. Checked Canadian Tire and they had nothing. I think ARP sells ones that will work I might just get some of those.

Benson's is a real parts store, one of the biggest in Eastern Ontario. They might be able to get me the ARP one's. I'll know tomorrow.

I ordered ARP ones through Benson's and had them the next day. I didn't know Benson's could order through Keystone.

with keystone offering a bonus to its drivers for garage names... most places are supplied by them.  Canadian tire, performance improvements and damn near every mom and pops garage in north america is on the keystone list. its really just a question of IF they use KS.

I wish Keystone had an online catalog. Then you could look through it before going to one of there vendors.

Didn't have a chance to visit cp today, but that's good to know... funny they charge for it, LMC Truck and Summit send them out for free, and you continue to get them for free as long as you purchase SOMETHING from them! LMC sent me 4, I bought nothing from them yet, and they stopped.   ;D  Sucks though, because now I need something from them! Although, they have an on-line version...
