More info please.  auto or std trans?  What was it doing before the garage did the distributor? If it was dying while driving/ intermittent hard starting, may be a bad ign module.

Does it do anything? or just turn over and not fire? Sure there's fuel and enough pressure?

When you try to start it, does the tach needle move? (if not likely ignition module).  I'd carefully check all the wires and clean the connections. Battery & grounds, and the plug for the module at the base of the distributor.  They may have caught the wires when installing and crushed it so it grounds out.

BTW Welcome!!!!!!!!!!!!!   ::)

..the 88 fiero is an automatic...the distributor was originaly replaced because of starting problems
(same as now)   ign module is supposed to be new...I have heard that there are a bunch of brand
new ignition modules that are defective...maybe I have one....thank you very much for tour interest
yes', it just turns over and no spark all other systems are ok.. Im a bit of a gear head myswlf but this
one  is proving difficult to "crack".... what bothers me is Im paying a garage 100 dollars per hour to
use their "skills" and "diagnostics" to  check this out  and they re no better at it than I am ....
thanks again...LOL ivica :-X
