Title: Pat Yourself on the Back !!! Post by: FieroBUZZ on January 26, 2003, 11:18:31 am I tend to read a lot of forums for all different kinds of cars and motoring and from several countries. On a lot of these boards, merely posting something starts huge flame wars for no apparent reason. A guys's sig or avatar, the colour or type of car, name, nationality or whatever.
Several boards in the Ottawa area are infected to the point where folks get banned before they come thru the door, or nice guys drop off and never post again. Most are general boards where you expect some guys not to like your ride. Even the j-body board (Cavs and Sunfires) is so bad that one guy complained that other boards refer to them as the 'gay-body' board. :-X On the other hand we are extremely civil. Other than the fact that some people don't post much, we seem to do okay. With our small membership, everyone should try to post a topic or reply as often as possible. Since we don't meet that often it kind of lets everyone get to know each other better. I don't think anyone is home sharpening their 'get even' ax because someone picked on them and that's as it should be. If you post it, it should be in fun and taken as such. If you have a serious beef, take it to private messages or email. That's my rant for now, feel free to roast me. ;D Title: Re:Pat Yourself on the Back !!! Besides isn't the main reason for these types of forums the sharing of both the liking of and the knowledge of a common thing. Can't share if you can't get along.
