Title: '87 GT 3800sc
Post by: Rob on July 31, 2006, 05:42:23 pm
Just putting it out there that I am putting my car up for sale, Pics will follow probley tomorrow or wednesday

1987 Fiero GT 155000km(aprox)
Metalic Red with Grey Ground effects
3800 Supercharged (Swapped in by Dan)
Automatic Transmission 4T65E-HD
Tires have less then 10k on them

The Car is in overall good shape, the paint is origional and starting to have some clear coat issues(I will supply pics of this) There is minimal rust as the car had been used as a summer car then Stored for 5 years before I got it.

The Drivetrain is Stock GTP from and '98, the car blew through emmissions. There should be very little if anything needed to cerify the car as I had it certified 2 years ago, then it spend a year sitting before I got around to having the engine done. I will however make a list of what will be needed to be done for the buyer.

Please as Questions and I will do my best to Answer them.
I am Located in Belleville Ontario.
Phone number is (613)962-7686
or you can email to: coldskies at Hotmail.com

I would like to get $5000  But Im open to offers or trades, Im taking a hit even at that :(
Pics will follow soon!!

I saw you put it also on the GTA board.   That Ionstorm666 guy was looking for a fastback.  He wanted a manual but I think the 3800 would make a big difference. You should email him directly.

Ok who wants to buy my Fiero so I can go buy Rob's. Seriously though this is one nice condition Fiero in near mint shape that would be a good set of wheels for any one with a liking of Fiero's and a desire to go fast. Also the warranty will stay on with the Fiero for who ever buys her. Dan

Sorry to see you're selling Rob.  Put 'er on Autotrader, you'll be able to get more than $5k!  There's another '87 GT with the 3800SC listed at $16,500!!

To cheap for sure.   I would be putting it in the trader for $7500.00 minimum.  At 5000.00 with n engine swap I would assume its a basket case and a big mess.  But with others praising the car up it is way to cheap.

Pete

what are you looking for, for trades?

lol, well if my price is too cheap then maybe I will have to raise it, If I dont sell it soon, I will just pull it off the market and I will keep it as my summer only car, I would like something more practicle. Im looking for a good condition(certifyable) car, with a manual tranny. Perfer NOT a GM 6 cylinder, you trade for an excellent condition 93 and up Honda civic Hatchback, or Volkwagon desiel. But I would consider anything so dont fear to offer.

Will have pics available tomorrow(friday) probley by afternoon

Thanks guy; Rob

Isn't that Lacelles' car?

Cheers, Derek

Chris, if you want a 3800, just buy the damn car.  It would cost you more in parts and labour to build it.   >:D

That's Lacelle's car in the pic.

How are the frame rails? How many Km's on the motor? Does it have air, and dose it work?

Thanks

When doing the 3800SC swap the tail lights, rear bumper, engine cradle and inner wheel wells were removed and from what I saw I can guarantee the rails as well as the rest of the metal in this car is very good. This car is in near mint shape and worth a lot more than Rob is asking. If I was looking for a good engine swapped car this is the one I would buy. Dan

I got the engine for Rob it came out of a real nice condition black 2 door 98 GTP which had been written off in an accident the mileage on the engine when I put it in was 141,000KM not sure how many miles Rob has since put on it. Dan

Sorry, been away this weekend playing at a baseball tournent. Im in the process of getting this car certified, or at least getting an official list of what needs to be done, although I work at a shop my car is not high on thier priority.

Hey Rob I have been meaning to ask you does the shop you work at do 4 wheel alignmenst on Fiero's. Mine is in need of a bit of work and will need aligning once its done and every place other than the dealers around Trenton doesn't want to touch it or can't guarantee they can align it. Dan

Title: Re: '87 GT 3800sc
Post by: Rob on August 22, 2006, 08:02:21 pm
Yes we do 4 wheel alignments, and I dont see any reason why someone wouldnt want to do a fiero... I dont do them personaly but we have a guy that does them, our alignment mechine is actualy the 2nd best one in the area, second to one of the dealerships which have the larger heads designed for 24"+ wheels.

Anyways its workman auto repair

Just to let everyone know, I am going on vacation(camping) and will not be around to show the car, it is being dropped off at my work while im away for its inspection, will be back after the long weekend.. possibley this wasnt the best time for me to put it up for sale, but then I figured someone would take it for the price without any hassle! lol

Later; Rob

Rob do your self a big favour and put it in the auto trader for $7,500 certified and e-tested, don't waste your time selling on forums as the average Fiero people are to cheap to pay what the car is worth. Not trying to be rude or insult any one here just stating a known fact. Dan

Fixed for real Fiero enthusiasts.......   :'(

Also you have to consider that only .00000000000000001 percent of the poulation would even look at a 20 year old Fiero as a purchase.  Mostly those who had been repeatedly dropped on their heads as babies.   >:D

I have decided to pull the car off the road and not sell it for now. I got a cheap Cavalier to drive this winter so I dont have to ruin my car in the snow! sorry to anyone who was looking at it and for wasting the peoples time who came for a look.
