Title: swap #15 has fired Post by: 2ML67 on June 21, 2006, 09:37:30 pm As it says fired up the engine today in Fiero 3800SC swap #15 runs great burped out all the nasty air in the cooling system and checked her all over. Will test drive tomorrow to see how well the 3800SC works up against a getrag. Dan

Title: Re: swap #15 has fired Post by: lercs on June 26, 2006, 06:23:34 pm sometime soon im going to be dropping that motor i got off you into my fiero and have a working fiero again :)
but congrats on the swap.. just curious but how much do you charge (overall parts and labour) Title: Re: swap #15 has fired Post by: 2ML67 on June 26, 2006, 09:28:52 pm I have no control over the cost of the parts all depends on cost of engine etc from wreckers. As for labour my cost for all the labour to finish the complete swap is $2,000. Dan
Title: Re: swap #15 has fired Post by: aaron88 on June 27, 2006, 12:35:46 am times 15 swaps! that's a nice little hobbie you got going there. ^-^
Title: Re: swap #15 has fired Post by: 2ML67 on June 27, 2006, 09:22:36 pm Compared to how much others charge plus how much work is involved I don't think $2,000 is too much to ask for a complete swap thats every thing working no hidden extra costs like some places do. Plus I have to finance my hobby and desire to stay faster than Aaron's fiero some how. Dan
Title: Re: swap #15 has fired Post by: aaron88 on June 28, 2006, 02:19:11 pm I hope you didn't get the wrong impression Dan. I think you work for cheep.
And as for faster....maybe. But not by much and for how long? Aaron . |
