My trunk carpet got scorched thanks to a MIG welder during the conversion. Will Trunk carpets swap between years? I just want the factory gray stuff. I have seen people use the 84 Black carpet , but it doesn't fit perfect.

Any idea?

I aways thought that they all were the same size, but have never done an exchange. Maybe at one of our meetings we could do some quick measurements.

JM,

   I'm pretty sure that the only difference is between the coupes and the fastbacks.  The model year shouldn't make a difference.  Keep in mind that I'm not 100% sure on this, just 99.9%...   Grin

Went to the wreckers , allI found were notchies with no blower motors.. didn't get anything wasn't sure how it would fit.

Found a 85 SE with a GT wing , it looks like it is in ok shape , too bad it has succombed to the ""pick your part" crowd armed with a screwdriver as their singular tool.
