How do you remove the drivers side door panel? I can't see any way to disconect the cable for the mirror.

Easiest way to remove the mirror...

There's an allen screw in the bezel which holds the joystick--loosen the screw enough to push the joystick in to the door.

Roll the window down all the way.  Remove the rubber thing at the leading edge of the window track; should be 1 phillips screw + some goopy sealant.

Once you have the rubber thing out use a 10mm combination wrench or 1/4" drive socket & wobbler to reach in to the door & undo the nuts on the back of the mirror studs.  Once the nuts and/or studs have been removed, you should be able to remove the mirror from the outside of the door.  The cable & joystick will come with it.
