Working on an 07 3900 swap into a Fiero now, should be a bit of fun to do but I am interested to see how it performs compared to the 3800SC. Dan

Dan I wish I had your sense of fun, I would hate to have to install a 2.5 in a fiero.

Dan,

How did the 3900 swap go?

Did you use the ECM and PCM from the donor car?

Did the 3900 have VVT?

Thanks,

Gord

Kept the fly by wire and used the stock ECM/TCM and finally got her running. over all was not really impressed with the engine, is a poor fit in the Fiero and a lot more work then a 3800 with not much more power then a 3800N/A and no where near the 3800SC. Also really do not like the fly by wire I like to be the one that decides when the throttle plates open all the way not the ECM. Dan

I might try one for myself that eliminates the fly by wire but not sure if I like the idea of an external reluctor wheel and sensor just sitting beside the harmonic balancer.
Either way it is a very tight fit in spots and if I am going to tolerate such a tight fit I think I would rather have an LS4 in there. Dan
