ok,

Now that I am werking again, I need to get a beater...I am hoping to spend around 500-1000 and it should be RWD and small! ( chevette, justy  Wink , toyota corolla "sprinter" )

I am not especially concerned about the estetics, just as long as most of the trunk / frame is still there!

and it should also be noted that I will need one in about 1.5 months

( Q: so why post an ad now? )
( A: in case someone spots one in thier travels  Tongue )

thanx!

Spot one in my travels?  I spot one every time I leave my house!  No it's not RWD, but it's small, and does well on gas.

AFAIK most of what it needed for a safety has been done already.  It passed an e-test with flying colors about 18 months ago.

Unfortunately it has a chronic low oil pressure problem right now (the oil pump refuses to prime) and I no longer have either the time or the interest in picking at it.  Specs follow.

If you're interested, $750 from any OFC forum member takes it.  Will be listed in Auto Trader or some such for $1000 o.b.o. if there are no takers in the next couple of weeks.  Just keep in mind that you will have to tow it from my place to wherever you're going, unless of course you think you'll get there with an engine which has zero oil pressure.  Wink

Also remember that the club has a tow dolly available, with rental priced an an economical two-four per day (is that the correct rate Brian?).

Some pics of the beast, for those who are asking.  My apologies for the quality--I took some in better light this morning, but didn't have time to download them from the camera.

I might get them posted over the weekend.  All depends upon whether or not I can get a fast enough connection to my ISP to upload them in less than 30 seconds.   Shocked

Looks good...DAMN good

Very clean...tell me tho, ( not that it really matters for $750 )

but how good is the floor? Solid? Even if she isn't , that's ok...just one more trip to CT for sheet metal and pop rivets! Wink

The floor is solid, to the best of my knowledge.  One body hole which was under the left tail light has been repaired; that was the only perforation that we could find.  The rest is limited to a reasonable quantity of surface rust.

Pics updated BTW.  They're smaller now, but better lighting.

...and no that's not smoke.  The CR-V was idling while I took the photos.  Smiley
