I will probably be picking up a 2.8 '86 on Mon.. It has sat for some time from what I have heard. I want to replace the starter(its starter is shot), and try to turn it over. Is there any precautions I should take before I do this? Drain a little old oil and add some new? Add something to the fuel? Completely take apart the motor and rebuild it....ha....
                  Any input is appreciated.

Myself I would drain oil fill new filter up as much as possible and fill engine with 4 quarts of oil. Pull fuel pump fuse, leave ignition coil wire off and pull spark plugs then crank till I get oil pressure then connect coil wire, instal fuel pump fuse and new spark plugs then try to start. Dan
