It can certainly be done without a hoist because Dan did lots of them at home (without a hoist, just a cherry picker and floor stands). Mind you, he has a lot more talent than I have  Roll Eyes

Itd be just so much easier with a engine hoist though and I live in a town house with a garage the size of a shack.  Embarrassed

Do you know anyone on our forum that would have one that I could borrow for a day? It kills me seeing my L26 on the stand. It only has 6000 kms on it and a t88 turbo waiting to be throw in so I fairly excited and have my hopes up on producing a minimum of 300 bhp.

The cherry picker style engine puller works great on the Fiero for engine work, just drop the entire engine and cradle out the bottom and you are set.
I prefer using a bar that bolts down to both strut tower tops and has a hook to connect to the engine puller for straighter safer lifts as the body needs to be fairly high up for the engine and cradle to come out from under neath. Dan

I have a foldable picker you can use, as long as you don't scratch the paint or let it get wet (yes I'm like that with my stuff).

Cheers,

Aaron

I don't need it for at least another two weeks, but I can't be sure.  I could just give you a couple days notice when I need it back.

Yeah I'm exactly the same with my tools, dw, your cherry picker is in good hands. Could I pick it up today? And I'd have it back by the end of the week.
